RTC: Justin Forsett has fond memories of Houston

Reading the coverage of the Houston Texans...

Justin Forsett has been let go by plenty of teams, so when he faces a former team he doesn't get emotional, writes Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. Forsett, who ranks fifth in the league with 1,128 rushing yards, has fond memories of his time in Houston. "My firstborn was born there in Houston," Forsett said. "My wife was playing volleyball for USA Volleyball so that was actually the first place we lived together as a couple. I got an opportunity to play for a great team. It was cool."

Andre Johnson doesn't always practice on Wednesdays, but he wanted to yesterday, writes Deepi Sidhu of HoustonTexans.com. Johnson missed the Texans' last game against the Indianapolis Colts while recovering from a concussion. Johnson caught passes from both quarterbacks Case Keenum and Thad Lewis.

Case Keenum is eager to make the most of his second chance with the Houston Texans, writes Dale Robertson of the Houston Chronicle. He gives a playful take on Texans' coach Bill O'Brien's secrecy on the matter of who the starting quarterback will be:

The Texans need to defeat Baltimore on Sunday to keep their slimmest of playoff hopes alive. But they began practice Wednesday not having a clue as to whether Case Keenum, who's receiving an improbable "dream come true" second chance, or Thad Lewis will be their starting quarterback.

Did they know more after practice?

If so, coach Bill O'Brien wasn't revealing his choice, admitting he probably won't share the news until the Texans' offense trots onto the field for the first time. He's got to keep the Ravens guessing, you know.

"I think the team has a pretty good idea which way we're going," O'Brien said. (If he wore a handlebar mustache, he would have twirled it then.)

Earlier, O'Brien had taken his hyper-secretive approach to a new level when reporters and cameramen were banished from practice after the players did their stretching and before anyone had so much as picked up a football.

For the record, Keenum and Lewis both looked limber.
