Reading the coverage of the Houston Texans ...
Colin Kaepernick will play against the Texans in their final exhibition game tonight, writes Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News. That will aid the Texans' coaches in their efforts to evaluate their defensive players. There will be several Texans starters who won't play much if at all tonight.
Drew Dougherty of the team's official website created an archive of the site's Football 101 episodes with Texans media's John Harris. Throughout the offseason, Harris discussed receiver route trees, receiver classifications, the basics of Romeo Crennel's 3-4 defense and more with the help of a whiteboard and marker.
