Letroy Guion's agent: No basis for new civil suit against Packers' DT

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion is facing a civil suit over a 2013 altercation in which no criminal charges were filed.

The civil suit, filed in Bradford County, Florida, was first reported by the Independent Florida Alligator newspaper.

The suit was filed by Martius Holland, who Guion's agent, Seth Katz, said is the boyfriend of Krystal Troutman. Guion and Troutman have a child together.

According to the report, Guion allegedly pushed Troutman and struck Holland in the head during an altercation, causing "physical pain, suffering and mental and emotional anguish" and that Guion allegedly sent threats of physical violence to Holland, who is seeking damages for assault, battery and assault by cyberstalking.

"We're aware of the suit and is suspect nature," Katz told ESPN.com on Friday. "We're aware that Mr. Holland and Ms. Troutman are attempting to enrich themselves. Troy's attorneys are aggressively defending it. There's no basis for it."

The civil suit was filed in the same Florida county that is currently holding Guion’s property -- more than $190,000 in cash and a vehicle -- that was seized during his February arrest for felony possession of marijuana and a firearm. Guion paid a $5,000 fine and the charges were dismissed, but police are still holding his property. The civil forfeiture case, in which Guion is attempting to retrieve his property, is still pending.

Guion, who signed a one-year, $2.75 million contract this offseason, is still awaiting word on whether he will be suspended by the NFL for that incident.
