Packers practice report: Brad Jones returns

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers' starting defense should be intact for Thursday's opener at the Seattle Seahawks.

Inside linebacker Brad Jones returned to practice on Sunday after missing the preseason finale because of a quadriceps injury.

Only three players did not practice. They were:

  • C JC Tretter (knee)

  • TE Brandon Bostick (leg)

  • CB Demetri Goodson (concussion)

Tretter is expected to miss several more weeks because of the slight fracture in his knee he sustained on Aug. 22. Bostick was hoping to return in time for the Seahawks game from the leg injury he sustained on Aug. 16.

The Packers treated Sunday like a regular-season Wednesday practice and were in full pads. However, they do not have to issue their first official injury report of the week until Monday.
