Well … there was a no-hitter from a guy on the trade block, the longest shutout streak by a pitcher in many years ended, one of the best and most polarizing hitters of this generation bashed three homers in a game, the first pick in pretty much every draft hurt his wrist Sunday -- scaring everyone -- but minutes later smacked a grand slam to cap a multihomer afternoon and, of course, an ace was traded from the NL to the AL. So let’s just say this isn’t a blogging day to go in-depth on the Leury Garcia demotion.

The trade of right-hander Johnny Cueto from the Cincinnati Reds to the Kansas City Royals qualifies as noteworthy news in fantasy, even though Cueto is owned in all standard leagues, because many participate in NL- and AL-only formats. Cueto owners in NL formats aren’t pleased. In AL ones, certainly pay for the incoming ace if you need one, and even if you don’t, pay anyway.
