Texas A&M OT Cedric Ogbuehi visits the Detroit Lions

With the owners meetings over, the Detroit Lions continued their string of pre-draft visits Monday, bringing in another offensive lineman for meetings with the team's coaches and front office.

Texas A&M offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi is the third known offensive lineman to visit Allen Park, Michigan, and his visit makes a lot of sense for Detroit. The 6-foot-5, 306-pound tackle tore his ACL in the Aggies' bowl game this season, so at the very least it is important for the Lions to get a better medical look at him if they are going to consider investing a draft pick in him.

Ogbuehi, in part because of that injury, didn't do much at the NFL combine in February. He did put up 23 reps on the bench press, though. He played right tackle for a good amount of time at Texas A&M with first-round picks Jake Matthews and Luke Joeckel playing left tackle in 2012 and 2013, respectively. Ogbuehi manned the left tackle spot in 2014. He also has some interior line experience, having started 13 games at guard for the Aggies in 2012.

He is rated as the No. 7 offensive tackle and No. 44 overall prospect by ESPN/Scouts Inc. His profile rates him as exceptional in pass protection and above average in run blocking, awareness, and toughness. The biggest concern about him is his durability, between the ACL injury and an ankle injury his redshirt freshman season.

He is, by my count, the 10th prospect Detroit has brought in for a pre-draft visit. It has broken down as three defensive tackles, three offensive linemen, two defensive backs and two running backs.
