ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- With four compensatory picks -- three of those in the seventh round to go with a fourth rounder -- the Denver Broncos have the potential for their first 10-player draft class since 2009.

In his "Grade A" mock draft, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. went three rounds deep. This time, instead of projecting, he made the selection he would make if he was making the call as general manager for each team.

Kiper made his selections at need positions for the Broncos. With their first pick, 28th overall, he stayed consistent once again in making Florida State center Cameron Erving the selection, just as he did in his last mock draft.

If that came to fruition, Erving would be the first center to be selected in the first round by the Broncos in franchise history. But he is a combination of need and value at the position for the team.

Erving had the unlikely double of earning all-conference honors at two positions this past season. He moved from left tackle to center during the season -- he played nine games at left tackle, five at center -- and was named first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference at left tackle by media as well as coaches. He was also named second-team All-ACC center by the media and the third-team All-ACC center by the league's coaches.

At 6-foot-5 1/2, 313 pounds Erving played 13 games at defensive tackle for the Seminoles in 2011 before he was moved to left tackle in 2012.
