Injuries: Barry Church breaks his nose

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Cowboys lost safety Barry Church to a broken nose in the first half of their loss to Denver on Sunday. Church, who finished the game, said he broke his nose in two different places while making a tackle as his helmet slid down on his face.

  • Lance Dunbar left the game with a hamstring injury. The Cowboys wanted to use Dunbar on kick returns because of wide receiver Dwayne Harris' hip injury. But when Dunbar went down on kick coverage, Harris was inserted back in the game.

  • Guard Ronald Leary and defensive end DeMarcus Ware left the game because of cramping. Ware returned after getting an IV. Leary departed the game after the Cowboys' last possession because of the issue. It's unknown whether Leary would have returned if the Cowboys had received another possession.

  • The Cowboys missed wide receiver Miles Austin (hamstring) and linebacker Justin Durant (left groin) due to injuries.
