Cowboys meet with Houston Nutt

IRVING, Texas -- As the Cowboys ponder more moves on their coaching staff, they have met with former Arkansas coach Houston Nutt about possibly joining the staff, according to sources.

The only current position open on the offensive side of the ball is running backs after Skip Peete was fired shortly after the season following a six-year run with the team.

Nutt was head coach at Arkansas from 1998-2007 and has obvious ties with Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones. From 2008-11, he was the head coach at Ole Miss. He was a three-time Southeastern Conference coach of the year and had a 135-96 record.

He does not have any NFL experience.
