The Dallas Mavericks announced Monday that they have signed free-agent forwards Jamil Wilson and Brandon Ashley.

Both players are considered long shots to make the Mavs' regular-season roster and could end up playing for the D-League's Texas Legends.

The 6-foot-7, 230-pound Wilson averaged 10.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 block in 26.2 minutes per game as a part-time starter for the D-League's Bakersfield Jam last season.

The 6-foot-9, 230-pound Ashley went undrafted out of Arizona this year. He averaged 12.2 points and 5.2 rebounds as a junior last season, helping Arizona return to the Elite Eight for the second straight year. Ashley averaged 10.4 points and 5.3 rebounds for Atlanta's team in the Las Vegas Summer League.
