Devin Harris out vs. Warriors

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Mavericks' top two reserve guards suffered injuries during Thursday night's blowout loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Devin Harris will not play in Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors because of a bruised right hand. J.J. Barea (left thumb sprain) was listed as questionable but will play with a wrap on his off hand.

X-rays on Harris' right thumb were negative, but his hand was so swollen and sore that he struggled to get dressed after Thursday's game. He was injured when Blazers center Robin Lopez hacked at the ball on a Harris drive to the basket.

Harris said he would play if the injury was to his left hand, but his ability to handle the ball and shoot is too impacted to be effective at this point. He hopes the swelling goes down enough over the next two days for him to play Sunday.

Small forward Chandler Parsons will miss his seventh straight game due to a sprain and bone bruise in his left ankle. It's possible he could return Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
