IRVING, Texas -- In order to call up cornerback Micah Pellerin from the practice squad, the Dallas Cowboys released defensive tackle Davon Coleman on Saturday. With Tyler Patmon out of Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with a knee injury, the Cowboys needed to add Pellerin to have a fourth cornerback on the roster. He joins Orlando Scandrick, Brandon Carr and Sterling Moore. Patmon could miss up to two more games with his knee injury. Coleman played in the first two games of the season and started the opener and had four tackles. He injured his knee/calf in the weight room and missed two games. He has been inactive for the past eight games. If he clears waivers, he could be brought back to the practice squad.
