Anthony Spencer, who hadn’t played since Week 2 of the 2013 season, made his debut after enduring the the long rehab process from microfracture knee surgery.
He played 22 snaps and finished with three tackles and a quarterback hit, making it a successful return. The way defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli rotates defensive linemen it should be easy for the Dallas Cowboys to keep him in the 25-play range. He’s the most accomplished pass-rusher on the team with 32.5 sacks, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get much of his work on third down.
When Morris Claiborne went down with a torn patellar tendon just four plays into the game, Sterling Moore took over his job and performed well. Moore had three tackles, two pass deflections and a forced fumble.
The Cowboys certainly didn't waste any time giving Justin Durant a full workload after he missed the last two games with a strained groin. He played every snap.
