P.K. Subban's preferred destination, plus other offseason buzz from Vegas

If the Canadiens want to trade P.K. Subban, their best chance is prior to July 1 when the defenseman's no-trade clause kicks in. Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

LAS VEGAS -- Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban keeps his summer schedule packed. Just take a look at his Instagram feed and you get an idea of how much he jams into his offseason.

“The offseason belongs to me and nobody else,” Subban said on Tuesday in Las Vegas while meeting with the media before the NHL Awards. “That’s the way I see it. I don’t owe anybody anything in the offseason.”

So, according to Subban, there’s little time for following the trade rumors too closely. And it’s a good thing because that would be a time-consuming practice, with the Subban rumor mill churning at a high pace.
