Ranking the 10 most concerning NHL contracts of the offseason

This summer, NHL general managers showed remarkable restraint. They smartly locked up young players while cautiously giving declining players less term and money than previous offseasons.

Still, there were a few contracts signed this summer that come with concern. Here’s a look at ten of them:


1. Ryan Kesler, Anaheim Ducks

It’s definitely easy to understand why Ducks GM Bob Murray was willing to give Kesler a six-year contract extension worth a total of $41.25 million.
