GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Four-star wide receiver Demarcus Robinson (Fort Valley, Ga./Peach County) visited Florida on Saturday and came away impressed with the Gators. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound athlete said although his trip to Gainesville was short, he learned a lot about what Florida has to offer. "It was pretty good," Robinson said. "It was quick, but it went well. I went in the stadium and walked around the weight room. They showed me around the campus like where the bats come out at night and where the alligators are." Robinson, who also holds offers from Notre Dame, Clemson, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Georgia and Tennessee, had a chance to meet with Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease while on his visit. "Coach Pease showed me some of the offense for a little while," Robinson said. "They were were just saying they need receivers and I was the No. 1 receiver left on their list. They told me I need to hurry up and get down there."  Robinson said he enjoyed his visit so much, he considered committing to the Gators.
"It crossed my mind, but I know I got to wait and see the other schools," he said. "I still got to go see Clemson on June 14th and 15th, and I'll see Notre Dame sometime. They are in my top five with Clemson and Notre Dame. I'd say South Carolina and Oklahoma are there, too." Robinson, the No. 22-ranked receiver in the country, said he likes the way Oklahoma gets the ball to their receivers. "They get the ball around," Robinson said of Oklahoma. "They had the second most passing receptions in college last year." Florida has three wide receiver commits from Ahmad Fulwood, Rodney Adams and Marqui Hawkins, but Robinson said he knows he will have competition at whatever school he chooses to attend. "That doesn't bother me," Robinson said. "Wherever you go, you are going to have to compete." Robinson said he will likely wait until December to make his decision.
