CHICAGO -- Here’s a quick look at the Toronto Blue Jays' 11-9 win over the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field on Sunday.

How it happened: The White Sox took a risk in starting Dylan Axelrod on three days’ rest, and the Blue Jays made them pay for it. The Blue Jays scored four runs off two home runs in the first inning and tacked on another homer and three more runs before Axelrod departed after three innings. The White Sox’s offense got going with three runs in the first inning and four more in the fifth, but they couldn’t make up enough ground after their bullpen also allowed four runs. Alex Rios had two doubles, a home run and four RBIs for the White Sox.

What it means: The White Sox closed out their six-game homestand with a 5-1 record. They enter the All-Star break three games ahead of the Cleveland Indians and 3 ½ games ahead of the Detroit Tigers in the American League Central. The White Sox last led the division at the break in 2008.

Outside the box: Kevin Youkilis added another RBI on Sunday. He now has 14 RBIs in 13 games with the White Sox. He accumulated the same number of RBIs in 42 games with the Boston Red Sox this season.

Up next: The White Sox begin a 10-game road trip on Friday. They open it up against the Kansas City Royals, travel to Boston for four games and close it out against the Detroit Tigers.
