As
Chicago Cubs fans await the arrival of
Anthony Rizzo from Triple-A Iowa, ESPN Chicago will take a daily look at Rizzo's day in the minors.
Rizzo went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk on Wednesday. His batting average remains a robust .356 and he leads the Pacific Coast League with 23 home runs and is second with 59 RBIs in 65 games. The 23-year-old first baseman also leads the PCL with a 1.143 OPS and .724 slugging percentage.
Rizzo is expected to join the big-league team this weekend in Arizona. Calling him up before that would make him eligible to become a free agent in 2017 instead of '18.
