Blackhawks playoff picture (April 11)

Here’s a look at the Chicago Blackhawks' playoff picture heading into the final day of the regular season on Saturday:

What happened Friday: There weren’t any games that impacted the Blackhawks.

What to watch for Saturday: There are three games that could affect the Blackhawks’ playoff situation. The biggest one is the Blackhawks’ own game. They close out the regular season against the Colorado Avalanche on the road. The Minnesota Wild also play on the road against the St. Louis Blues. Finally, the Anaheim Ducks travel to play the Arizona Coyotes.

Central Division standings: 1. Blues, 107 points, 41 regulation and overtime wins (first tiebreaker) in 81 games; 2. Nashville Predators, 104 points, 41 ROW in 81 games; 3. Blackhawks, 102 points, 39 ROW in 81 games; 4. Wild, 100 points, 42 ROW in 81 games.

Wild Card standings: 1. Wild, 100 points in 81 games; 2. Winnipeg Jets, 97 points in 81 games.

Blackhawks playoff outlook: The Blackhawks could still play the Blues, Predators or Ducks on the road in the first round. The Ducks are the unlikely opponent. In order to play the Ducks, the Blackhawks would have to lose in regulation to the Avalanche, the Wild would have to defeat the Blues in overtime or a shootout and the Ducks would have lose to the Coyotes in regulation. For the Blackhawks to face the Blues, the Blackhawks would have to lose in regulation to the Avalanche and the Wild would have to defeat the Blues. As for the Predators, the Blackhawks would have to pick up at least one point against the Avalanche and/or the Wild would have to lose in any fashion to the Blues.

Blackhawks remaining schedule: at Avalanche (Saturday).
