CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Joakim Nordstrom will miss about a week due to an upper-body injury, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said on Thursday.
Nordstrom left Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers after taking a hit in the third period. He did not play the final 17-plus minutes.
Nordstrom has three assists, has averaged 11:52 of ice time and is a minus-5 in 35 games this season. He has been one of the team’s primary penalty-killing forwards during March.
Blackhawks forward Daniel Carcillo is also day to day with an upper-body injury, according to Quenneville. Carcillo played 10:46 against the Flyers. He has four goals, four assists and is a plus-3 in 39 games this season.
