          Hawks recall Danault, place Sharp on LTIR

          The Chicago Blackhawks recalled forward Phillip Danault from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL and placed forward Patrick Sharp on the long-term injured reserve Friday.

          Danault, 21, has three goals and seven assists in 14 games for the IceHogs this season. He was drafted by the Blackhawks in the first round in 2011. He has not appeared in an NHL game.

          Sharp suffered a lower-body injury Nov. 4 and was expected to miss 3-4 weeks. The Blackhawks announced through their Twitter account Friday that Sharp "isn't expected to miss any more time than originally expected.”

          The Blackhawks have 14 forwards on their active roster.
