Garnett (rest) won't play vs. Raptors

Brooklyn Nets power forward Kevin Garnett will get a rest day and will not play Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors at Air Canada Centre in the second game of a back-to-back set.

This is the fourth time this season Garnett has rested in the second game of a back-to-back. It has pretty much become expected at this point.

Garnett, 38, is averaging 7.6 points on 43.8 percent shooting and 8.5 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per game for the Nets (10-13).

Guard Sergey Karasev (strained left oblique) is also out. Starting in their places will be Mirza Teletovic and Alan Anderson.

The Nets have not started the same five players in consecutive games since Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 (eight games).
