Veteran CB Thomas in for Patriots tryout

The New England Patriots continue to monitor the veteran free-agent pool, hosting cornerback Terrell Thomas for a workout on Thursday.

Thomas, a six-year veteran, has spent the entirety of his NFL career with the New York Giants, who selected him in the second round of the 2008 draft out of Southern Cal.

The 29-year old has dealt with extensive knee issues in his career, missing all of the 2011 and 2012 seasons due to injury. He returned to the field in 2013, recording 67 tackles and one interception.

The 6-foot, 191-pound Thomas was a productive player in both 2009 and 2010, totaling 10 interceptions during that time.

The Patriots have had a busy offseason as it relates to cornerbacks, signing free agents Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner.
