Cardinal Spellman senior tight end Rory Donovan has verbally committed to the University of New Hampshire, he announced this morning on his Twitter account. The 6-foot-6, 195-pound Donovan was selected to ESPNBoston.com's fourth annual All-State Team last week after totaling 14 touchdowns for the Cardinals, who reached the MIAA Division 5 South Semifinals. Donovan was also considering an offer from UMass at the time of his commitment; a number of Division 2 schools had also shown interest in Donovan for basketball, where he stars in the winter time as a power forward. With Donovan's commitment, UNH now has two commitments from Massachusetts for its 2014 recruiting class. Central Catholic safety D'Andre Drummond-Mayrie -- another ESPNBoston.com All-State selection, and the No. 7 overall recruit in Mass. by ESPNU -- committed to the Wildcats back in September. More details to come later.
