The Boston Celtics will make their first national TV appearance of the 2014-15 season after ESPN picked up next Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Boston entered the season with one scheduled national TV appearance -- a January game against the Atlanta Hawks -- but it was flexed out. With the Celtics vying for one of the final East playoff spots, the Celtics-Pistons game bumped the scheduled Toronto Raptors-Charlotte Hornets broadcast. The Celtics and Pistons will now tip at 7 p.m. ET with Phoenix Suns-Dallas Mavericks serving as the second half of ESPN's doubleheader that night. The Celtics have had a few games broadcast on NBA TV and will get another this Wednesday when the Indiana Pacers visit. Next week's game is the first honest-to-goodness national TV game (ESPN, ABC, or TNT broadcast).
