Texas evidently wasn't kidding about expanding its brand to the Middle East.
Former Texas Longhorns coach Mack Brown is currently in Dubai on a football-related trip meant to explore future possibilities for Texas athletics, the American-Statesman reported.
Brown has posted photos on his Twitter account of himself and wife Sally in Dubai.
Texas athletic director Steve Patterson, who is not on the trip, has expressed a desire to expand the Texas brand outside the country.
The men’s basketball team will play next season's opener against Washington in China. The school has also reportedly explored playing a game in Mexico.
