Oklahoma's depth at running back still OK without Keith Ford

Oklahoma might have the most enviable running back depth in college football, but that depth is being put to the test this spring.

The Sooners lost exciting freshman running back Rodney Anderson to a sprained MCL. Now Keith Ford has been suspended indefinitely. Joe Mixon must sit out the spring game, leaving the Sooners with just two of their studs -- Samaje Perine and Alex Ross -- available for the April 11 scrimmage.

Ryan Aber of The Oklahoman took a closer look at what Oklahoma is working with now at running back following Ford's suspension. New offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley was in no mood Monday to talk about the guys missing, but he did acknowledge this situation only creates opportunity. Ross, a speedster who rushed for nearly 600 yards in 2014, could end up being the biggest beneficiary.
