RTC: Two drafts that killed the Titans

Reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans…

Looks to recent drafts for the main reason why the Titans are so bad, writes Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. Just two of the 20 players selected from the 2009-2010 draft classes remain on the team.

To which I say: That seems an atrocious rate, even as five of those 20 players are playing elsewhere in the league. But It's actually not that uncommon. The Colts, Jaguars, Cowboys and Panthers have one player left from those drafts, the Cardinals have two, the Texans three.

Can selfies distract players? They discussed it on Bernard Pollard’s web show at The Tennessean. Pollard said he doesn’t do social media Saturday or Sunday of a game weekend, but he has no problem with Mettenberger’s approach.

The Titans aren’t getting enough first downs and are allowing too many, writes David Boclair of the Nashville Post.

Delanie Walker is tied in to Nashville’s Toys for Tots drive, writes Cindy Watts of The Tennessean.

Inside linebacker Avery Williamson is the Titans defensive rookie of the year through half the season, writes Joe Fann of the team’s web site.
