The Film Don't Lie: Colts

INDIANAPOLIS -- A weekly look at what the Indianapolis Colts must fix:

Quarterback Andrew Luck did his part against the Jacksonville Jaguars, completing 31 of 39 passes for 370 yards and four touchdowns. But Luck should have finished with a higher completion percentage.

Three of his eight completions were considered drops, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. Tight end Coby Fleener had two of the three drops, including one that would have been a touchdown for Indianapolis. Luck didn't shy away from Fleener after his two first-half drops. He continued to throw the ball to Fleener, and the two hooked up for a touchdown later in the game.

The Colts can’t afford to have drops against the Tennessee Titans this weekend. The Titans (1-2) are struggling, but the one area they have excelled at is with their pass defense.

Tennessee is second in the league in pass defense, giving up only 170 yards a game through the air while intercepting four passes in three games. The Colts are averaging 304 yards a game passing and Luck has completed a career-high 68.3 percent of his attempts. Fleener has to catch the passes thrown his way and Luck has to continue to spread the ball around. The quarterback completed passes to nine different receivers against the Jaguars.
