Morning take: Redskins-Bills blacked out

Here are the most interesting stories Tuesday in the AFC East:

  • Thursday's preseason opener between the Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins will be blacked out, the Bills announced.

Morning take: I’m not sure what to think about this one. This is the most excited Bills fans have been about the team in a while. Yet, 20,000 tickets remain for this preseason game. Maybe it’s just the exhibition season and fans are waiting for the real games.

Morning take: Dolphins cornerback Vontae Davis definitely is having a disappointing camp. Richard Marshall is pushing for Davis’ starting job and actually is first on the depth chart.

Morning take: Esiason says Tebow should be cut immediately. I disagree with that assessment. But credit Tebow for continuing to fend off critics.

  • New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will attend the funeral of Garrett Reid, who is the son of Philadelphia Eagles’ coach Andy Reid.

Morning take: Belichick and Andy Reid have developed a good friendship, and this is a tough time for the Eagles’ head coach. This is a good move by Belichick to support a friend.
