Two from ACC on Kiper's Big Board

It is never too early to look ahead to the 2016 NFL draft, and that's exactly what Mel Kiper Jr. did this week, as the draft guru compiled his first 2016 Big Board, consisting of 25 players.

The ACC, however, rarely makes a dent on the board.

Just two players from the conference are on the list, as Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey comes in at No. 3 and Virginia Tech cornerback Kendall Fuller checks in at No. 13. (Notre Dame itself, if you wish to include it, has two players on the list.)

No ACC players make Kiper's list of "a dozen more considered," either.

This isn't all that different from what Scouts Inc.'s Todd McShay put out last week in his way-too-early 2016 NFL mock draft, as McShay had just Ramsey (No. 12) and Fuller (No. 21) from the ACC as well, along with a pair of Notre Dame players. (McShay did include Pitt receiver Tyler Boyd among his "other players considered" list.)

Of course, the 2016 draft remains nearly a year away, and as we all know, these things tend to fluctuate just a bit over time. The ACC is, after all, home to the division with the most picks from this year's draft. The Atlantic Division's 30 draftees outclassed all, including the SEC West (29).
