2011 stats: He started all 14 games and had 65 tackles, including 14.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks. He also had two interceptions, nine passes defended, five quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.

Making the case for Fuller: He was a utility player for one of the nation’s best (and most injury-laden) defenses, and excelled at wherever the staff needed him. Fuller played at nickel back/whip linebacker for seven games and corner for the other seven games. He played more than 850 snaps on defense and 112 on special teams. He had an interception in the Sugar Bowl against Michigan, and had eight tackles, including two for lost yardage, against Clemson in the ACC title game. His versatility was invaluable to the Hokies’ D this season.
