Allons-y! That's French for "Let's go!" Of course, you'd probably know that if you lived in Montreal. You'd also probably know new Bears coach Marc Trestman, who's spent the past five years coaching the CFL's Montreal Alouettes to consecutive Grey Cup titles. The move is a bit of a surprise for the Bears, but Trestman has NFL experience and his coaching record up north is beyond reproach. Will Trestman's signing secretly be the best coaching hire of any team in this offseason?
- chuuway: "I was about to laugh at this but the guy has won championships so...."
- slickster1973: "Jimmy Johnson knows a thing or 2 about football and he endorsed the guy. So I'm willing to give him a chance. He can't be any worse than Lovie standing on the sideline looking befuddled as teams march on us or we go 3 and out."
- RGJiuJitsu: "People are willing to understand a hiring of a college coach, but not a guy who has coached in a professional league? Others speak highly of him. Might be a home run. I ain't even a bears fan"
- knightswhosayni: "This guy made Scott Mitchell and Jake Plummer look like All-pro QBs...if he could do that, then what in the heck are the Bears fans freaking out about?"
- Magellan: "I'll take Steve Young's endorsement of him over anyone bashing him."

Switching leagues?
The CFL's rules are a lot different from the NFL's, but it's still basically football. CFL coaches would likely face different challenges than those of college coaches when they move to the NFL.
