Greg Oden has seen his career torpedoed by repeated knee injuries, but it looks as if he might be getting another chance to play. Oden reportedly is interested in returning to the NBA, and the defending champion Miami Heat might have a spot for him. If Oden does end up returning, will he finally live up to even a fraction of his once near-limitless potential?
- BuckNut2399: "As much as I'd love to see him be able to be healthy in the NBA I'm dubious."
- Aces1080: "Trying to understand why anyone would want him. There's only so much he can do with that knee. Is he worth all the trouble for 11mins on a floor a night?"
- FISKKZOR: "Oden, and his camp, should do the right thing, and sign a multi-year, minimum contract with the Phoenix Suns. If anyone can fix him, its the Phoenix medical staff. Its actually a no-brainer for Oden, still only 24, to train and get the correct medical treatment in Phoenix, and return to form by the time he's 26 or 27"
- DenverBroncos9899: "Oden is a bigger bust than Sam Bowie, at least Bowie had a couple decent years. Oden has not even seen the floor."
- BaySports226: "He's gonna be so tentative and afraid of injury, I seriously doubt he can be very effective."
- Yeager95: "I feel a little bad for Oden...seems like the guy really wants to play but his body just can't handle it."
- 800lb: "Oden is a hard worker with a body he can't control. Kind of like plenty of 5'8" PGs that will never make the league. I hope he makes it."
- itstimetofight-1212: "if he can come back and be healthy then great signing, but this dudes knees are shot and i don't see him coming back and being able to play at a high performance."
