Freshman Jarrod Uthoff wants to transfer to another school; Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan sought to block him from considering some of those schools. Is this fair?
- brewcity1007: "Totally agree with Bo. The kid bears some of the responsibility. What about commitment?!?!?!? Bo Ryan is in a lose, lose situation."
- coachleiss: "I love Bo Ryan! Nobody does more with less! But, he is wrong in this situation! Let the kid go! Its a free country!"
- SECFan2002: "The rule is there to help coaches protect their schools, but does a situation where another school can use this against you in a recruiting war help protect your school? Another coach could potentially use this against Ryan."
- HoosierHawk18: "Why not let him transfer to wherever he wants to and then if you face him use it as extra incentive to beat that team?"
- dkrammer: "Uthoff submitted a list of schools and Ryan rejected half of them. All Ryan had to do is say....ok, good luck and move on, but instead is pleading ignorance and then trying to say this is what all the other schools are doing"
- samweir: "This is just like trades in any pro sport. Pro teams often times don't trade players in division. Thus is what the Badgers are doing by not letting him transfer in conference or ACC teams that the Badgers could potentially face."
