Basketball defending. Unless you're sending shots into the stands, it's not often glamorous. Unless you're also a special offensive player, it usually doesn't make you the really big bucks.

And sometimes things happen that simply aren't right. Take the case of this player from a recent tournament in Fayetteville, North Carolina, who was embarrassed in two completely different ways in the same game.

The second: totally legit, just some really spectacular moves. The first? It's hard not to call that unsportsmanlike.

Now, we don't know the context of the first play. But when J.J. Smith -- an ESPN four-star recruit in the Class of 2017, no less -- bounced the ball off the defender's face, it's hard not to feel for him ... and give him props for keeping his cool.
