Email scams are usually pretty entertaining -- if only for their incessant typos and general underestimation of one's common sense. But this one below, sent to Yahoo! Sports writer Dan Wetzel from a person claiming to be legendary coach Barry Switzer, really takes the cake.
Seems legit. Hope Coach Switzer gets home OK

March 20, 2015 A couple of follow-ups, if I may:
1. I wasn't aware they had football coaching clinics in the Ukraine. Do tell ...
2. Switzer is one of three human beings ever to win both a national championship and Super Bowl as a coach. What does he need to attend a coaching clinic for? The free buffet?
3. Who goes sightseeing just hours before an international flight? And who, in 2015, doesn't pay for their flight in advance or leave a credit card on file with the hotel?
We can confirm, thanks to ESPN.com's Jake Trotter, that Barry Switzer is in the United States of America. When reached by Trotter, Switzer confirmed that he is indeed alive, well, prospering and slightly confused about what the heck an email scam is.
