I've been surprised by how well the transition to lightweight has gone for Diaz. As a welterweight, I thought he was vastly overvalued by the UFC. If he can continue to make the lightweight cut as he gets older, his size gives him massive advantages. Now he is causing the matchup problems he could not overcome as a welterweight.
