ESPN Mobile provides live round-by-round analysis and unofficial scoring for Saturday's WBO welterweight title fight between champion Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KOs) and Juan Manuel Marquez (53-5-1, 39 KOs) from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight airs on HBO PPV and will be contested at a catchweight of 144 pounds.

Welterweights

MANNY PACQUIAO vs. JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ III

HBO announces pre-fight unofficial weights: Pacquiao, 148 pounds; Marquez, 150 pounds.

The challenger, Juan Manuel Marquez, walks out to the tune of traditional Mexican Mariachi music. He enters the ring with a focused look on his face. Manny Pacquiao, the WBO welterweight champion, emerges from the tunnel to the tune of AC/DC's "Thunderstruck." Pacquiao paused in the tunnel outside of the dressing room for an extend prayer while leaning forward against the wall. Pacquiao's music switches to "Eye Of The Tiger" with Survivor's Jimi Jamison singing live.

Tony Weeks is the referee for the main event.

ROUND 1

The opening round begins with both fighters testing the waters with their jabs. Marquez, in a conventional stance, is very patient as he looks to counter. Marquez is in the best shape of his career -- and unofficially entering at 150 pounds -- is at his heaviest weight. Pacquiao lands two overhand lefts before Marquez misses counter right over the top. Both fighters trade punches in the center of the ring. Marquez landed the better shots in the exchange thanks to a combination downstairs. Pacquiao lands a lead left hand. Manny didn't land it with much authority, but just enough to show Marquez that it's there for him. Pacquiao lands a firm right uppercut down the stretch of the round. Marquez counters to the body before the bell.

ROUND 2

Pro-Marquez crowd booing as Round 2 gets underway with both fighters cautiously circling the center of the ring. Pacquiao looks very poised and confident as he misses with a looping left hook. Nice counter right hand from Marquez lands inside. Pacquaio darts in with a jab to the body. Left uppercut from Marquez nearly hits the mark, but he follows it up with a two-punch combination -- including a right uppercut -- that hits home. Marquez is incredibly patient; but when he decides to open up and counter, he's been plenty accurate.

ROUND 3

Pacquiao lands a series of jabs to open the round. He's been the aggressor for the majority of the fight thus far. Nice right hand from Pacquiao slips in upstairs. Manny has picked up the pace this round after slowing down a bit in the second frame. Marquez answers with a counter right hand up the middle. Pacquiao showing great footwork as he makes Marquez miss. The challenger has been very patient, but has picked his spots effectively. Nice 1-2 combo from Pacquiao finds its way home. Manny comes right back with a hard right hook. Great round for Pacquiao, who was able to land the jab at will.

ROUND 4

Hard overhand left from Pacquiao hits flush. He set up the punch perfectly by feinting with the jab. Marquez throws a looping left hook to the head that was partially blocked. Pacquiao blocks a Marquez right and answers back with a rapid-fire combination before both fighters trade shots in the center of the ring. This fight has had its moments thus far of spectacular action in small bursts. Marquez lands with the jab and comes back to the body. Big punch from Marquez buckles Pacquiao in the closing seconds. It may have been enough to steal the round. Manny had outworked him up to that point.

ROUND 5

Both fighters patient in the early going before Marquez slams an overhand right against Pacquiao's guard. These two fighters just know each other so well. Nice sneaky uppercut from Marquez lands. Pacquiao answers with two piston-like jabs. Marquez counters with an overhand right. This is going to be another round that is hard to score. Sound familiar? Hard right hand from Marquez backs up Pacquiao! Pacquiao fires back as the crowd erupts. Now Marquez answers with a stiinging combination. Great action down the stretch and a strong finish from the challenger.

ROUND 6

The two fighters come out patient again as neither threw a punch during the first 40 seconds of the round. The crowd appears to be split at this point in its allegiance after being pro-Marquez early. Nice body shot from Marquez. Not much to speak of this round in terms of action. Both fighters not wanting to make a mistake here. Clean right hand from Marquez lands over the top. Hard left in return from Pacquiao before the two fighters trade against the ropes. Marquez barely misses a left uppercut that would have done serious damage. Hard right hand hits home for Marquez before Pacquiao answers with the left. This is great stuff! Pacquiao jabs to the body before Marquez answers downstairs as the round comes to a close.

ROUND 7

Hard right hand from Marquez checks Manny's chin in the opening minute. Pacquiao really starting to pick it up as he darts in and out with combinations. Nice left hook to the body from Marquez, who is just so accurate. He's a technician and an all-time great. Marquez avoids a huge shot from Pacquiao and counters inside with a straight jab. Pacquiao backs up Marquez with two straight jabs. Back comes Marquez to the body before adding a counter right upstairs. Marquez just can't miss with that right hand. Pacquiao flurries with a series of jabs down the stretch.

ROUND 8

Pacquiao bleeding from a cut inside his mouth in the early going. Marquez lands a counter left hook inside. Both fighters land jabs to the body before trading hooks upstairs. Marquez again to the body with the right hand. Pacquiao leaps in and fires a flurry of shots inside before the two fighters trade in the center of the ring at the closing bell. Pacquiao's agression and sense of urgency steals him the round.

ROUND 9

Both fighters give as good as they get in the first minute. Here comes Marquez with clean, accurate right hands to counter Pacquiao. Short hook upstairs lands for Marquez before Pacquiao comes leaping in to land a lead left hand. Plenty of action in the final minute! Great exchange against the ropes. Too close to call as to who got the best of it. Big counter shots sting for Marquez. Pacquiao comes right back over the top with the right hand. Pacquiao really sensing the urgency and he closes with a big left hand.

ROUND 10

The pace slows down as Manny opens up with the jab. Marquez answers strong with the right hand before slipping to the canvas. Luckily for Marquez, it's just that: a slip. Pacquiao pops a left hook before both fighters eat clean counter shots. Which style do you like better? That's the question that the three judges are facing right now. Pacquiao bleeding above his right eye, which he indicates that he believes was from a headbutt. They trade counter shots in the center of the ring to close the round.

ROUND 11

Great counter punching from both fighters. Again, a slower pace to this round than we have seen in the middle of this fight. Nice short counter left hook from Marquez. Both fighters trade popping overhand shots. Marquez is, as usual, the more accurate fighter. But it all comes down to how you score the round and which style you prefer. Nice counter jab from Marquez. Both fighters trade hooks in the middle of the ring. Pacquiao's cut has not been reopened as of yet this round. They trade jabs again. Very even round. Marquez more accurate.

ROUND 12

Pacquiao showing great footwork to avoid Marquez's counter shots in the early going. Both fighters patient, not willing to open up and take a risk. They are settling for jabs, which Pacquiao is landing. Nice 1-2 combination from Pacquiao. It was partially blocked, but it speaks to Manny's control of the pace and his overall ring generalship in this round. Weeks calls timeout in the final minute after Pacquiao's mouth piece fell out. Hard overhand right from Marquez is blocked. Pacquiao opens up big in the final 10 seconds. Marquez content to let it head to the scorecards; the challenger, more or less, willing to give away the round.
