At least we can safely say that Manny Pacquaio and Floyd Mayweather are not going to retire and not going to fight for at least 5 more years. If you can earn $50m-$80m fighting just two times a year, then nobody is going to turn that down. However, Pacquaio looks like he is past it. He has lost his last two fights and looked crap the one before that. He needs to get his finger out his $@%. I predict the Mayweather Vs Pacquaio fight happens in 4 years time. Like Tyson V Lewis, they will wait until both near the end of their careers.

And so much for boxing being dead. Top 2 are boxers. And there are two more boxers on that list. No MMA fighters on that list. Even after Pacquaio and Mayweather are gone from the sport (which, giving the amount of money they can make, will be a long way away) someone else will come a long to take their place. They have said boxing is dead for a hundred years or more. There is an article/ forum post (google it) with quotes if you do not believe me. Back in 2004, Bob Arum said asked who is going to take over from Oscar De La Hoya, and fast forward 8 years and we have the two highest paid athletes in the world as boxers. MMA should just give up on trying to knock boxing, it is not going to happen. Boxing will have it's highs and lows but will always be the #1 fight sport worldwide. UFC is a fad. It is great when you are first introduced to it, but after a few months, a few years maybe, it gets boring and your interest in boxing grows.

All those saying that this justifies Mayweather's demands for the Pac fight are just stupid. Mayweather makes more than Pacquaio because he acts as the promoter too. Where as Pacqauio is promoted by Arum. If Pacqauio promoted his self, he would make as much as Mayweather. This fight should be split down the middle, no arguments. And at least now we finally know the truth of why this fight has not happened. Why fight each other when you can fight other people and make $$$ anyway. Thius fight will happen but when both fighters are like 37/38. Just like Tyson Vs Lewis. And who can blame them for waiting it out. And I bet people still tune in to watch this fight even though it has been so long in happening.

Since this is a boxing article on a boxing website, I wish they'd given some lip service to the other boxers who made the list. Wladimir Klitschko and Miguel Cotto were #24 and #75 respectively. Four members of our sport made this list. I am glad to see that. Hope next year it is even more.

Bute was undefeated fighting only in Canada as well ... Mayweather needs to fight away from the United States at least once in awhile. Having all of your 'games' being 'home games' isn't really the best barometer. Just look at another undefeated fighter ... Sven Ottke. All home games.

First of all, good for Manny Pacquiao to fight a top ranked undefeated fighter in his prime. I thought Manny was taking a much bigger risk fighting Bradley then was Mayweather fighting Cotto, who had already lost by TKO to Manny. But Cotto was the bigger name. Win or lose, I appreciate Manny fighting on the road against top ranked, in their prime fighters. I like the fact that his name is big enough that he does not need a 'named' opponent to sell the fight. This gives undefeated guys like Bradley a chance to shine. I would like to some day see Mayweather fight a young, primed fighter on the road ... but that just isn't ever going to happen.
